Neurodiversity in the Workplace: Understanding Needs and Support

Webinar | 10 November | 12:30–13:15

Neurodiversity is increasingly becoming part of workplace conversations, but understanding neurodiversity is only the starting point. Employers also need to understand how neurodivergence can affect individuals at work and what practical support may help.

Join Rachel Roebuck, Clinical Operations Director and Lynley Clegg, Occupational Therapist, for an informative session exploring how employers and employees can better understand individual workplace needs and identify person-centred appropriate support.

What will we cover?

During the webinar, we’ll explore:

• What neurodiversity means and how it can affect individuals in the workplace
• What a Neurodiverse Workplace Needs Assessment involves and how it can help
• The Equality Act 2010 and reasonable adjustments
• Examples of recommendations and reasonable adjustments that may support neurodivergent individuals at work
• Where employers and employees can seek further support

What will you take away?

By the end of the session, you’ll have a greater understanding of neurodiversity in the workplace, and the challenges neurodivergent individuals may experience.

We’ll also explore how a better understanding of individual needs, alongside appropriate workplace support, can help employers and employees address these challenges.
