Innovate Healthcare launches Neurodiversity Workplace Needs Assessments

At Innovate Healthcare, we believe everyone should have the support they need to feel confident, valued and able to thrive at work.

That’s why we’ve launched our new Neurodiversity Workplace Needs Assessment service which helps organisations provide practical, timely support for neurodivergent employees, without the lengthy waits that can often come with accessing external assessments and funding.

We know that every person’s experience of work is different. A diagnosis alone doesn’t tell the full story; what matters is understanding how someone’s individual needs, role and working environment interact. Our assessments are designed to do exactly that, providing clear recommendations that help remove barriers and create a workplace where people can do their best work.

Bringing specialist support closer

Our Neurodiversity Workplace Needs Assessments are delivered by experienced assessors who also complete Access to Work assessments. This means employers can access trusted, independent advice and evidence-informed recommendations to support their employees sooner.

Each assessment looks at the individual as a whole, considering their strengths, challenges and the specific demands of their role. Recommendations may include adjustments around communication, working environments, assistive technology, workload management, sensory needs and guidance for managers.

The result is a clear report that gives organisations the confidence to take meaningful action while helping employees feel understood and supported.

Supporting people and organisations together

Many employers want to create more inclusive workplaces and provide the right support for their teams but knowing where to start can sometimes feel challenging. Delays in accessing external assessments and funding can also mean employees are waiting longer than they need to for adjustments that could make a real difference.

Our new service helps bridge that gap.

By identifying adjustments early, we can support neurodivergent employees to feel more comfortable and confident at work, while helping organisations build a more inclusive approach that benefits their people and their wider business.

The service can support employees with diagnosed neurodivergent conditions, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia, as well as individuals who are awaiting assessment but are already experiencing challenges at work.

It also allows businesses to demonstrate their commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, by creating a workplace that recognises neurodiversity, removes barriers and enables every employee to thrive.

Helping workplaces become more inclusive

Rachel Roebuck, Clinical Operations Director at Innovate Healthcare, said:

“Employers genuinely want to support their people, but accessing external assessments and funding can often take time. Our Neurodiversity Workplace Needs Assessments help provide practical recommendations that organisations can act on sooner, so employees don’t have to wait unnecessarily for the support they need.

“Every individual experiences work differently, which is why our assessments focus on understanding the person, their role and their working environment. By identifying reasonable adjustments early, we can help remove barriers for neurodivergent employees while giving employers the confidence to create workplaces where everyone can feel supported and included.”

Our Neurodiversity Workplace Needs Assessment service is the latest addition to our growing range of occupational health and wellbeing services, designed to support organisations and their people at every stage of the employee journey.

Because when people feel supported at work, everyone benefits.
