As part of your university degree, you are invited to attend a course of vaccinations as advised by the UK Government’s published guidance of immunisations for healthcare workers: Green Book: Chapter 12 Immunisation of healthcare and laboratory staff (publishing.service.gov.uk)
Opting in is optional, however, is recommended to maximise the protection for yourself and your patients. If you opt in, you will be invited to attend an appointment with the university’s occupational health provider Innovate Healthcare – Home – Innovate Occupational Health (innovateoh.co.uk). Depending on your immunisation status, they will provide you with a full course of hepatitis B, MMR, BCG and varicella if required.
